  Hoop Star

MD Sports Association and the Montgomery County Department of Recreation (MCRD) have teamed up to provide young basketball enthusiasts with the highest level of instruction available today.  By attending our renowned skills clinics and games, your child will be ready to play at the top of their game.  MD Sports, like no other training source, will provide expert instruction of the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and exciting environment by well-trained and experienced staff.  Our coaches will focus on teaching the proper techniques, emphasize team work, and encourage all participants to become students of the game.  In order for players to improve their game, they must develop four essential elements: shooting form, ball handling, moves, and defense.  Our goal is to impart our passion for and knowledge of the game of basketball to all young athletes willing to learn.  We will provide each participant with our signature  t-shirt and a participation medal. 

The next session of MD Sports' HOOP STAR Basketball clinics will begin the week of February 6, 2006.  If necessary, we will conduct one makeup class for inclement weather, or an emergency school closing.  Clinics will be conducted on scheduled Montgomery County Professional and half days.  Clinic dates and locations are subject to change for reasons beyond MD Sports' control.

MD Sports Association and the Montgomery County Department of Recreation (MCRD) have teamed up to provide young soccer enthusiasts with the highest level of instruction available today.  MD Sports Association's after school soccer training will provide expert instruction of the fundamentals of soccer in a fun and exciting environment by well trained and experienced staff.  Our coaches will focus on teaching the proper techniques, emphasize team work, and encourage all participants to become students of the game.  Participants will play games during the instructional hour.  In order for players to improve their game, they must develop four essential elements: dribbling, trapping, passing, shooting and feints (moves).  Our goal is to impart our passion for the world's most popular sport to all young athletes willing to learn.  We will provide each participant a complimentary MD Sports T-shirt.

MD Sports' Spring 2006 Soccer clinics will begin the week of April 3, 2006.  If necessary, we will conduct one makeup class for inclement weather, or an emergency school closing.  Clinics will be conducted on scheduled Montgomery County Professional and half days.  Clinic dates and locations are subject to change for reasons beyond MD Sports' control.

MD Sports Association's after-school flag football training will provide expert instruction of the fundamentals of football in a fun and exciting environment by well trained and experienced staff.  Our coaches will focus on teaching the proper techniques, emphasize team work, and encourage all participants to become students of the game.  Participants will play games during the instructional hour.  In order for players to improve their game, they must develop four essential elements: blocking, passing, catching, and rushing.  Our goal is to impart our passion for the game of football to all young athletes willing to learn.  We will provide each participant a complimentary MD Sports t-shirt.

MD Sports' Flag Football clinics will begin in the Fall 2006.  If necessary, we will conduct one makeup class for inclement weather, or an emergency school closing.  We will also allow participants to make up one missed class (due to personal reasons) at any other clinic location.  Please call in advance to schedule.  Clinics will be conducted on scheduled Montgomery County Professional and half days.  Clinic dates and locations are subject to change for reasons beyond MD Sports' control.
